24 HOUR LIVE-IN

Living Care Home Services has developed a strong tradition in helping families who need 24 hour, 7 day/week Live-In care. Having a Live-in Caregiver enables you the opportunity to live your life to the fullest, within your own home. You will have someone who understands your health and nutrition needs as well as your spiritual and emotional needs. You will have a friend to share memories with and someone who will help you create new memories. The feeling of knowing that someone is only a room away actually provides a sense of safety and freedom. Loved ones no longer worry about your safety and well-being on an hourly basis and you need not feel like a burden to them. Your live-in caregiver will take care of all your personal care needs which allows your family to come and spend quality time. This in turn, promotes a sense of independence and usefulness which increases the joy and satisfaction of your day to day living experiences.

This level of care is the most difficult to assess and manage due to the human factor involved with sharing your home with your caregiver. It is hard for most people just to accept the fact that they need help. When inviting someone to live in your home AND take care of you, some serious roadblocks can arise in accepting this level of help. Through all our years of experience in developing this level of care, we have learned a great deal from handling the problems that others have faced before you. This experience has proven invaluable in helping a loved one see and understand the benefit in having someone live with them. Aside from the significant cost savings realized when compared with going to an Assisted Living or Personal Care facility, some very practical realities are also seen.

You don’t need to leave your home and your community. Most of the families we help at this stage of their lives have already paid off their homes and enjoy the company and routine of their neighborhood. Having a live-in caregiver enables you to stay within the safety and comfort of your own home. Family and friends can continue to visit you where you live, rather than needing to go to visit in a facility, most likely in another part of town.

You never have to be afraid in your own home again. The fear of falling and being alone is very real for the families we help. As a result, many people become very sedentary and limit how much they move around their home. This can lead to malnutrition, dehydration, medication errors and poor hygiene. These behaviors can, and do, lead to increased health problems such as unstable blood sugars, increased risk of heart problems and urinary tract infections to name a few.

A live-in caregiver becomes a very real part of the family structure. Whether there is family within or outside the home, the caregiver will become the bridge between them all. Family who are unable to be present due to logistical, geographical or work constraints can be comforted knowing that mom and dad are safely at home and are being cared for by a compassionate caregiver who really does care for them. This bond is something that  isn’t explained by words, but rather something that is experienced. And it gets realized right within your own home.

Let us become part of your family.
